I'm considering some wireless headphones for my living room. My favorite headphones are my Sony V6's. Are there any wireless headphones that are as good (or better) than these?

I had heard Philips' are good, but I don't use them myself.
Yes, I've got some Philips ones, they're quite old though, but yes they are good. Just make sure you go for the FM ones, instead of the cheaper Infrared one's. I've had no trouble with mine though, and sound pretty decent. Obviosuly not as good as corded one's but still pleasant.
Conceivably they could be good with digital transmission. At the moment I would only recommend using a battery powered wireless squeezebox, gluing it and your amp to your headphones, and doing some neck exercised before using it.
(Actually I think there is one headphone that has a good wireless connection but it is expensive of course the headphone itself may not be to your liking.)

Somehow, I got hooked on wireless headphones and have owned three pairs! My first, a Sony MDR-DS3000, was a bit "honky" sounding and had a fair amount of hiss. These were returned to the store and exchanged for a Sony MDR-DS4000 which sounded better and was quieter. Later, I got a Sony MDR-RF5000K and it is quite good. These are RF using 2.4 GHz radio band rather than IR like the earlier two. They are very quiet - no noise all - and have very nice sound quality. They are also comfortable to wear. Because they are RF, you can wear them throughout the house, not just line of sight to the transmitter. They do, however, sometimes breakup maybe because of interference with my home wireless computer network.
Sadly, none of these, even though they cost over twice as much, sound as good as my Sony MDR-7506 (similar to your V6). Still, it's very cool to be able to walk around the house with them!

Thanks for the replies, and please keep them coming
@CSMR: I do have a Squeezebox3 in my living room. Next to my V6 phones, it's the best audio investment I've made.
