I have half a dozen of these. They contain audio data in the first session, just like an ordinary CD would, but an additional session is present that contains another multimedia track, such as biography of the band, videoclips, etc.
I have a tricky question regarding these CDs I couldn't really find the answer for:
I maintain an archive of all my CDs in my computer. I do it because I find it more convenient to have all my CDs available through my media player. I also do it in such a way I achieve a perfect lossless 1:1 image of the CD, in case something disastrous happens with the original, physical one. I rely on EAC, Accuraterip, Cuesheets, and Wavpack to do it. Everything is of course properly cofigured.
This formula works very well for traditional CDs, but EAC doesn't know how to deal with the data track in the enhanced CD, and obviously won't copy it.
So I was wondering what would be the method to assure I securely rip the audio data, copying the additional data track and adjusting the cuesheet so I can still burn a perfect 1:1 copy if I ever need to.
Thanks in advance.
