Hello!

I *love* foobar2000! In fact, I like it so much that it is permanently open, and I'm accumulating tabs over tabs (almost all my records have been ripped, almost 200 CDs laying on my HD, nicely arranged in folders and sub folders of mp3 files)

I was thinking: why not create "folder" tabs in f2k? A tab which would open another list of (regular or folder) tabs. This way, I could organise my f2k tabs in a much more convenient way.

That would be the step one.

For I tought of a step two: adding an explorer pane! This would remove the tabs altogether and make foobar2000 the equivalent of, say, XnView for the ease of use and convenience (and yes, I find using Windows Explorer and right click "play in foobar" cumbersome)

Also, feature over feature, I'd like to be able to program several records to play, plus some tracks here and there, hit "play" let it run for hours. Ths would require a enhanced "program list" feature.

Well, you could use foo_uie_explorer (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=34207). I think this is what you are after.

Do a search for explorer, and you can find this.

Also, take a look at Playlist Tree, perhaps Browser (both by cwbowron). Pretty much what you're asking is possible, you just need to search for it.

Edit: Beaten to the punch!!!

Does a playlist not do this?

Don't forget that to use explorer and playlist tree, you have to use the Columns UI.
