i just downloadet the new psytell v1.6 aac encoder and it still crashes on the same tracks...
however only when using -streaming if i use -normal it works fine but gives me to big files (above 160kbits)

i ten tried using -br 128 -vr -c18500 and it still crashes. so somethings tells me it got somethign to due with the "small" vbr mode

I tried the setting you used, but had no problems (only 3 clips tested).

hum, is the file name is without space ?? try with a smaller file name

Hummmm... maybe I should add "BETA" to its status in my page, and upload again
good old 1.5?

the error must lie in v1.5 hence i re-econde cd which i had no problems with v1.5

but now when i encode with 1.6 it crashes on 6 of the songs....

but the errro also does only occur when using -streaming.
if i use -normal it works fine..which even more show that the fault must lie in the encoder......

i can compress the wa.vs with winrar and upload somwhere for testing purpose

the aacenc 1.6 is working again for me..for some wierd reason.

even thougt i have tried with to different version of 1.6 (crc32 chekc revealed differences in exe file) and it woudle crashes..te latest i got from http://www.inf.ufpr.br/~rja00/ suddenly worket fine....is ther a third v1.6 of psytell AAC encoder?

You should take a look at the build date of the files in my page.

Version numbers seem to only reflect algorithm improvements, no bug fixes.
