I know probable is a stupid question, but I don't finde the way...

I just want to convert some .ac3 5.1 tracks I ripper using DVD Decrypter to WMA10Pro (also 5.1).

But Windows Media Encoder doesn't like the .ac3, what should I do?

if you use foobar2000, then you can use kode54's ac3 plugin for foobar2000 and set up foobar2000's converter to convert it to WMA. someone in the foobar2000 forums posted instructions on how to convert to WMA a while ago so you might wanna search there.

Tnx, but... uhmmm... but that only covers converting some file to WMA9. So far I didn't find a way to convert to WMA10Pro

Ok, I found the way: configure AC3Filter to WAVE output and that's it. You can start using WME to encode AC3 Files.

do you mean WMP11 Pro? because IIRC, there is no such thing as WMP10Pro

Hi, please Copy&Paste to the Command prompt the following long string (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt -> Right click -> Paste -> Press Enter):
(if WME is located in the default \Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\)

Then open 2hydrogenaudio.txt text file (there will be Explorer window with this file), select all and copy&paste it to the forum reply form, enclosed in codebox forum tag, e.g.:
