Hi, Is it possible to add not related data into MP3 file without effecting the quality of encoding.
I mean not only at the beginning of the file but also in the middle of the file.
as I understood there is a field called ancillary data before each frame header but trying to put data there cussed problems in the sound quality.
Thanks

This is probably a good thread to read:
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=38065If you are still interested after that then do a search on the board for "steganography".
is there a way to add data into the ancillary data field of existing mp3 file.
I don't want to hide the data.
What will the data be used for? Whatever you're trying to do, there's probably a better way of doing it.
I am trying to add data that will be synchronized with the recorded audio file. I know about the option to add time tags at the beginning of the file but I am looking for an option to add the data the file wile recording it.
