I’m really new to EAC. I know that you can use an External Encoder (LAME) when ripping CD’s to MP3.. But does EAC has an option to open wave files in your hard disk and convert them to MP3 using LAME..?

If EAC does not have this option can you recommend a software that can do this..(covert a wav file to mp3 using an external encoder like LAME, where I can enter the V values)

Cubase and Audition don’t seem to have this option..both of their mp3 internal encoding is shit..

Can anyone pls help me out?

Thanx in advance

EAC -> Tools -> Compress WAVs

LAME for Adobe Audition can be found here: http://rarewares.org/mp3.html
(I think it's a 3.97 Alpha version though...? and it doesn't seem to write the LAME tag...?)

Though I recommend All2lame or foobar2000
(as also recommended here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....howtopic=28124)

You can also drag and drop waves onto EAC and it will convert them using whatever type of compression that is configured at that moment. If you want tags, you'll have to do that as a separate step with a different program.
