Finally ! I've found something that works, so i post a little tutorial to explain this.
If you only use dtsparser to convert a dts wav (44.1khz) to a dts file (48khz), you'll get a 44.1 file played as a 48khz, so the sound will be too fast...
You need to get some softwares first, unfortunatly they aren't all free, but there might be open sources solutions that will do, feel free to propose. Not sure that it's lossless but it works, so....
DBPOWERAMP Music Converter (Free Trial 30 Days) : Download
DTSParser (Free) : Download
Tranzcode + GUI (Free) : Download
A sound editing software (mine isn't free : cool edit)
Surcode (not Free)
And Powerdvd or anything else that can outpout the 48khz signal through spdif (MPC seems to lag with the dts files encoded with surcode...) , maybe foobar...
So,
Step 0 (Rip the DTS Audio CD):
- Download DBPOWERAMP Music Converter and install : http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
- Select DbPowerAmp Music converter from the Start menu
- Load the CDA file from CD with the following parameters:
- converting X file to WAVE
- bit as source
- freq as source
- channels as source
- click "convert"
Step 1 :
-Open DTSparser
-check "Rebuild stream"
-click on "Add DTS File"
-select "DTS Wav audio files" as a file type
-select your dts wav (ex : test.wav)
-click on "start batch"
-You'll get a "test.wav.fixed.dts" file
Step 2 :
- Open TranzGUI.exe (Tranzcode)
- Click on "Input"
- select your "test.wav.fixed.dts" file
- select "6 Mono Wav"
- Click on "Run"
- You'll get 6 audio waves :
- test.wav.fixed-FL.wav
- test.wav.fixed-FR.wav
- etc...
Step 3 (the long part):
- Open a sound editing software
- Resample each wav file in 48 000 hz - 32bit - wav
-> With Cool edit you can batch this part :
. File>Batch file convert
. 1.files -> Add files (select your 6 waves)
. 2.Resample -> Check "Convert Sample Type", click "change destination format", sample rate : 48000 - Mono - Resolution : 32
. 3.New Format -> Outpout Format : Windows PCM (*.wav)
. 4.Destination -> Check "Delete source file if converted OK" (to save space in the process)
. Run Batch
- Wait, play a game, take your bike, whatever...
Step 4 :
- Open Surcode DVD DTS
- Select the destination and the name of the final file
- Sample Rate : 48
- Load each channel wav by clicking on "Left Front...", "Right Front", etc...
- Click on "Encode"
That's it.
I play the files using PowerDVD and selecting the spdif outpout connected to my DTS Processor.
I hope it will help.
Sorry for my english.
