WOW! I've been having a blast the last couple of days upgrading my foobar player. Until this week I was using the "stock" v0.8.3 player. I've since upgraded to v0.9.3.1 and have been playing with all of the component panel setups.
I've got this thing to *near* perfect, and I have to think there's a simple solution for what I want, but I'm too simple to know how. Hence my turn to the experts!!
I primarily use foobar as a player for FLAC-compressed files that I have burned to DVD's. These DVD's are sorted by Artist which, in turn, are broken into individual Albums via folders. Each folder has a single .flac file with a corresponding .cue sheet and multiple .jpg's for album art, liner notes, etc.
Because of this setup, I have pointed the foobar Media Library to my E:\ drive (CD/DVD drive) for my system. The Album List Panel flawlessly displays the albums by [presumably] searching through the inserted disc's .cue sheets, presenting a lovely formatted listing of the available albums *but*...only if I do the following:
1) insert new disc
2) Select 'Library - Rescan Media Library' from the menu
3) right-click in the Album List panel and select 'Refresh Tree'
Ideally, I want to 'turn off' the main menu (for a much cleaner player look), but then I don't have an easy access to the "Rescan Media Library" function. Sooooo, Ideally Ideally I would like to be able to add an option to the Context Menu in the Album List (i.e. when I right-click) and have an item that would *both* Rescan and Refresh the Media Library/Album Listing. Once I get this, I have achieved Nirvana (smell that?...my teen spirit is giddy!)
Anyone know of a way to do this?
