I'll be the first to admit, I am not a programmer. I can do batch files - that's about it.

I have created a method that allows me to update my iPod shuffle just by executing one batch file. However, I have to right-click on my file and select "Open Directory". I then copy it to a folder where I keep a few tracks for my iPod shuffle. I just discovered the ability to right-click on a track and select Edit --> Copy Tracks. That is helpful, but I still need to open the folder and hit CTRL-V.

Is there anyway to add a command that will put it directly to a folder I've chosen, or have the ability to select it?

Any direction would be helpful.

If you have foo_masstag installed (part of standard foobar installation) then there should be a context menu section called "File Operations". Under that section there should be an option called "Move, Rename, or Copy Files". Does this function help you?

I tried that, but it puts the file with in a folder in the location where I want it. It also required me to open up a few windows as well.

Basically I'd like the ability to right-click a file and have an option that says "Send to iPod" - though it won't send it to my iPod, it would simply copy it to the folder where I keep the tracks for my iPod shuffle.

It should work - you might have to choose a different output file format, some generate folders in the destination location, and with some settings, they simply copy the files.

I use it to create playlists for MP3 players more or less like what you're thinking. File names can also be modified during copying.
