Hello. I got interested in ogg after reading the forum and decided to d.l the latest oggdrop and oggenc which I used with monkeys audio as a frontend.

I have been able to encode with either tool but I cannot listen to the files on winamp.

I have installed the decoder from I think "angry coffee or breakfast site" it is in the winamp directory and shows on the input list.

No sound. No seek bar in winamp.

No tag showing on file either.

Can anyone spare a moment to help?

angry and coffee, is this that site which recommends to use the XING mpeg Encoder to rip wave files ? Muahaha ohmy.gif

Ok download the newest release here:

http://www.inf.ufpr.br/~rja00/dailyenc.zip

And the winamp plugin here:

http://www.1014.org/~peter/zips/in_vorbis.exe

works fine !

Excellent. Working good now. I chose m3 for quality. very good sund at around 128. M6 is most excellent.

The auto tagging with monkeys does not work. Are ogg tags an issue?

Thanks very much for your quick help:D

To rip CDs and automatically insert ogg tags, you should use CDex. http://www.cdex.n3.net

It comes with vorbis.dll, but it's an already outdated version. You should replace it with the daily Dll found at my page.

Yes PP's vorbis winamp plugin is the shiznat! The vorbis out plugin is also sweet! In and out. Out an in. And I love CDeX for CD ripping. Just point and click. All nicely tagged and ready to go!
