Hi,
I'm trying to rip cd with eac (cue sheet + multiple flac files) and the cue sheet is not right.
When i rip the cd with cue sheet + one file for the whole cd, everything is fine but when i do the same thing with multiple files (cue sheet / corrected gap), the indexes (which are the same as when i rip the whole cd in one file) in the cue sheet are not right. I have tracks that does not start at the beginning (ie missing the beginning of the songs). I don't have this problem when ripping the whole cd in one file. Should i not use cue sheet with multiple files ? or should i remove all the indexes (gap) from the cue sheet (ie make everything starts from 0 (no gap)) ?
I've tried different gap settings but nothing works perfectly.
I've tested with original CDs; some of them are not affected at all but some have are off by 1 or 2 seconds for some tracks.
I'm using a plextor ultraplex 40ts. I did the same test with other drives and got the same issue (pioneer and another plextor).
thanks,

The reason why your tracks are beginning incorectly is that you're using the wrong cue sheet. Unless you've configured EAC away from the standard setting, the correct cue sheet for tracks ripped separately is the noncompliant one, at which point the name should give you some indication that it isn't universal to all software.
I'm guessing you haven't read the wiki on this subject...

Thanks for the answer but i did read those links but unfortunately the non compliant cue sheet does not work either.
The behavior is even worse but it's probably because of the player i'm using (Foobar).
With a cds that have issue, when a do a non compliant cue sheet the first song is played twice even though Foobar displays the right title for each track.
I guess my best bet is too not use cue sheet with multiple files or to fix them by hand (with a script).
To answer your question about using a cue sheet: it's only laziness. I was using the cue sheet generated by eac as a playlist but for sure i can do the same another way.

Aha!
Seems like you didn't search the board or else you wouldn't have started a new topic.
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=47661A CUE sheet is not a playlist, and unless foobar2000 becomes compatible with noncompliant sheets (I think it used to be), you won't be able to use one as such.
