From this thread.

[To Garf] Now, for the question asked 4 times already: can you please explain why your profile here on the HA forums doesn't state anymore you are a Nero MP4/AAC dev please?
I personally think it's at least a tad dishonest, as new users or sporadic visitors should know you work for
Nero/Ahead and therefore put some of your opinions into perspective.

Thanks.

Garf does not work for Nero anymore.

Because I'm not a Nero MP4/AAC dev. anymore, perhaps?

You are not a "tiny codec in an endless ocean of bloat" developer any more? wink.gif

May I ask for a reason?

If we're on the asking tour...

May i ask if this opens the possibility for new Vorbis tunings? smile.gif

You know that individual are free to work for whatever company they want, and to leave this company without any approval from HA or justification here, don't you?

Did anybody doubt this? No one is talking about justification or approval.

Garf is still Garf.

I quit for personal reasons, and to try my hand at something entirely different while I am still young enough to do so. I now work as a project manager in high-reliability electronics manufacturing.

My quitting had nothing to do with Nero itself. It's a truly great company to work for, I very much enjoyed my time there, and I left with the best of feelings.

Is there a possibility that you will ever return to working on audio compression?
