according to the cue sheet standard i should be able to reference a file not in the same directory by using this....

FILE c:\file.mp3 MP3

or

FILE "d:\path with spaces must be in quotes\file.mp3" MP3

but this doesn't seem to work in foobar. my cue sheets only work when in the same directory as the file. can anyone else confirm/rubbish my claims..... tongue.gif

Hello,

I have the same problem using Foobar 0.9. sad.gif

In fact, I always use Foobar 0.8 because this version is working fine.

I have a dedicated directory in wich are stored all my flac files (and only flac files). Each flac file representing a full CD album.
Cue sheets are stored in separated directory and are organized by type of music. At the bottom of the three, each album is a directory containing only the cue sheet and folder.jpg

I chose this organization to avoid to have twice the same album in foobar by using the directory drag and drop.

I also don't understand why 0.9 version doesn't accept this feature any longer.

Any response ?

Does it work if you use -

FILE "d:\path with spaces must be in quotes\file.mp3" WAVE

@garrigue
As to the file drag and drop, in foobar
Preferences -> General
and
Preferences -> Media Library
set
Exclude/Exclude file types -> *.cue

Thank you for your tip. It works but it is just a bypass...not satisfying for my usage.
In fact, have the wave file in the same directory than the cue file is a big problem for me.

My complete album tree (that means all the cue sheet) is on my C: Drive. All the wave files are dispatched on several Disk (D: E: F: ...)

Using Foobar 0.9, I don't know how to organize my data. All files can't be stored on the same disk (not enough space) and have "classical albums " on E: and "Blues albums" on D: is not really an improvement.

I could have a solution if Foobar had accept directory shortcut drag and drop. But it doesn't work...

Is it possible to ask to Foobar team to implement one of these two solutions ? May I know why the possibily to have separate cue/wav is not available now ?

Thanks !
