Well, this problem has surged abruptly...I used to drag'n'drop my files onto Playlist Switcher tab...everything was okay, the name of the playlist was exactly the same as the name of the file or folder first dropped onto this tab...
For example, "Bill Evans [20 / 1:54:22]" or "Dee Dee Bridgewater - Prelude to a Kiss, The Duke Ellington Album.wv [12 / 52:12]"
However, yesterday i found an interesting issue...everytime i reboot my computer and start fb2k, my playlist name starts to look this way:
"Imported playlist (00000003.fpl) [1 / 10:36]"
I have already re-installed fb2k, tried different versions and layout configs, cleaned the registry but it seems that nothing works...
has anyone seen this kind of problem before?..
thanks in advance!..

I've occasionally had this problem, but only after a crash of some sort that corrupted whatever file stores the names of the playlists. (I used to use a computer that had some pretty severe hardware problems, and such crashes were a pretty common occurrence.)
Unfortunately, I really haven't a clue what could be causing this behavior, but that might be a place to start.

My guess would be that it happens like this: (misleading crap about config file edited out - thanks, foosion)
Anyway, does the problem still exist when restarting foobar2000 only, and is the "playlists/index.dat" file is up to date when this happens?

Playlist names are stored in index.dat in the "playlists" folder inside your foobar2000 profile.
