After more than two years in the making mpd (music player daemon) 0.12.0 was released. For everybody who is not familiar with MPD: it is a software that applies the server-client concept to music playback. The daemon decodes music to the local soundcard whereas clients controlling the server can be installed on a remote device. Read more below:
