Hi guys. Is it possible to copy the CD in wave with EAC on my hard drive, then compress the WAV files into mp3, without having to make the tagging my self. Currently I get my CD info from CDPLAYER.INI, before the tranfer on the hard drive, so my files have all the info ''artist, album...'' but when I convert to mp3 all the info are created on the ''title'' box of the MP3 tagging tools. Then I have to copy and paste the info in the right boxes. Is there, PLEASE guys, a fastest way. Thanks
How about an indirect route, first rip to any lossless format, with full tag support, then convert to lossy. Finally, if you really want wav then you can convert to that as well.
Yep, that's a common and very recommendable way to get both lossless and lossy copies of your audio data without being forced to waste your time with excessive manual tagging. For the transcoding from lossless to mp3 you can use foobar2000, it'll surely transfer the tags to the lossy format without messing up anything. You can also use it for ReplayGain scans on both formats.
