I can't believe that 0.9.x has turned to be so crappy after all. There are quite a few plugins that are still not (and may never be) available for 0.9. There are a few sad losses in functionality (for example the fact that I can't edit main menu entries any more.. .and don't get me started on that property dialog box).
The killer "feature" though is that 0.9.x (even the latest 4.1) overwrites the ID3 tags so that my players won't recognise them any more (yes, I tried the compatibility mode). Sure, I know the "politics" behind that incredibly stupid decision but I am not interested in politics. I simply want to listen to my tracks *and* see the ID3 info.
0.9 doesn't deliver. 0.8.3 did deliver and so I will go back (and also start looking for a player that's not trying to nanny its users).

Foobar is an ongoing development and to achieve perfection it takes hard work from the developers and to a lesser extent the users.
If you dont want to contribute, fine go to itunes or something. The community doesnt need you.

True. That's exactly why I am returning to 0.8.3 (which is IMO the better player but dead as a development) and why I will start looking for a nice alternative to that 09.x crap.
