Are there any other players apart from Winamp which will play MPC files or will accept the Winamp plug-ins out there? I thought Cool Player could play them with the Winamp plug-in but this is not working on my machine.

The easiest way I know of to get CoolPlayer to accept the MusePack Winamp 2 input plugin is to:

1. Install Winamp 2.
2. Configure the MusePack input plugin according to the MPC Recommended Settings

3. Open the \Winamp\Plugins\ folder and copy musepack.ini to the CoolPlayer folder.

Now CP will use the recommended settings which were saved using WA.

I wouldn't however write any tags into any mpc's using CP, but instead use Tag http://www.saunalahti.fi/~cse/ and Tag Frontend http://home.wanadoo.nl/~w.speek/speek.htm
