Hi,
did anyone else experience this? Sometimes, when I do "rescan media library", its window does pop up for only a few milliseconds, nothing happens. I went into preferences and did scan all. This worked, but at another day this didn't work as well (same problem), and after a restart of fb2k I was again able to start the rescan.
Possibly my media lib. database file was broken, I don't know.

The window pops up just for a split second, but it does update the album list (ui album list has to be manually refreshed to see the difference). But I believe this is not the case with you if the album list really does not update :|

I've experienced the same on another computer.
It's also a win2000 one and fb2k0.9.4.1. "rescan media lib" window does only pop up very short. I have to overwrite media library file with old one, whitch i've backup some time ago. After do that, rescan library works for some time...

I've also noticed this: after a failed rescan the database.fpl is empty (explorer showed 1kb). After restoring an old database.fpl, "rescan media library" did work sometimes. It's seriously broken.
Out of curiosity do you have foo_input_matroska.dll in components? (latest version 0.9.2.0)

I reverted back to foo_input_matroska-0.9.1.2.zip as a temporary solution and the problems seem gone.
The sad thing is that the developer(s) of matroska plugin don't react.

It seems that components that add support for other file types than those by default handled by fb2k are causing the problem (or to be more exact foobar 0941 broke something into these components ).
So, as a first step, I'd remove any extra foo_input_* dlls and do some tests.
Also foo_lnk.dll is something I never used, but, considering the symptoms, it sure looks like it may cause the problems.

I have another problem with the db:
It won't suppress tags that have been cleared by another program, in that case tag&rename.
Specifically I removed ID3V1 comment tags from a bunch of file and impossible to have foobar recognize the change even after "update library" and "tagging->reload info from files"...Any idea ?

Seems, like the rescan problem has gone with the latest beta. Haven't seen the problem since.

No, I'm not :-) I think I've had the problem with a vanilla fb2k, but I'm not sure. However, it works.
