Had some trouble connecting speakers to my PC. The sound was almost inaudible at max volume (with some crackling). Tried my iRiver IFP-799 as source to check if the speakers actually worked (done this before).... BIG F***ING MISSTAKE. The speakers somehow fried my iRiver. shock1.gif gun2.gif The speakers are gone now. Apparently they don't react well when thrown agains concrete... Who knew......
The speakers probably fried my connections on the computer in the first place.

Anywho... I need a new MP3-player that have all my favourite functions from 799.
They are:
Replaceable battery (AA) with 30+ hours of playing
3.5mm jack Line in / ext. microphone.
MP3 recording at any bitrate (8-320kbps)
1 or 2 GB flash memory

Any sugestions?
(iPod = crap)

Edit: IFP-999 (1GB) with 2 GB would be perfect wub.gif
Old player, but does anybody know where I can get one (from Europe)

Edit2: I've searched the net far and wide and I'm turnig crosseyed....
I've come to the conclusion that iRiver IFP-799, 899 and 999 is the closest to perfection any MP3-player ever has come. There is no rival...

Edit3: New player ordered. iRiver T10 2 GB

Hmm... T10 does not have line-in sad.gif.

I am searching for a similar thing, probably also with FM radio. I considered also Creative Zen Nano Plus, but it cannot record from mic. Probably I'll get an iRiver iFP >=300 with at least 512MB.
