Hi, a newbie here.
I have foobar 9.4.1 with the Nero 1.0.0.2 encoder and create MP4 albums normally.
Now i need to export some of the songs to be AAC for use in another program.
How do i configure a new encoding preset to keep the same quality as i use with MP4 but export to AAC instead please.
Thanks for you help.

The MP4 files created by the nero encoder contain AAC audio. Do you want it in another container, or as a raw stream or something?

if i understand correctly, he wants it in a raw stream. if that's what it is, then the mp4box should work for you.

Thanks for responsding.
I want an .AAC extension which is compatible then with DJ mixing software, etc.
The nero .MP4 serves me well for storing my music as a single album file in the 17 languages with unicode ID tags and filenames i have.
Unfortunately, none of the DJ mixing software supports .MP4 nor unicode however, some software supports .AAC
I have created a new "encoding preset" in foobar under tools converter but can't work out what the parameters should be.
I see from the nero documentation that the free external encoder can create .AAC files in addition to the .MP4 but can't seem to figure out the correct text.
Thanks for your help again

ugh, mp4 doesn't use ID3...
as for nero's encoder, i've never heard of it being able to create raw aac files. however, you could just encode to mp4 and extract the raw aac data by using mp4box.
Yeah, after looking at the available command line options of neroAacEnc.exe, there's no option for output to raw AAC. You can use mp4box to extract the aac stream though as Mangnix mentioned.
