Hello!

I want foobar2k to Pause when windows goes into standby power saving mode. How can this be automated? Currently I have a Girder command that calls the foobar pause command via commandline (foobar2000.exe /command:Pause). But if foobar is already paused this command unpauses it. So is there a command for pause only? If this not I would like to request such a feature and an option to pause foobar2k on standby.

Regards!

Hey RogerG,

what about *first* sending the command for 'play' and instantly after it sending 'pause'.

This way you make sure fb2k will definitively be paused before your computer goes to standby.

Note: Probably you will hear music for a second.

Thanks for your idea but
if foobar is playing, the result would almost be the same as sending the "stop" command. because sendng the play command to a playing foobar makes the track being played again from the beginning.

How about the 'Play or pause' command and then the 'Pause' command..? I think that could work..

Why do you want to pause foobar on standby? What about just exiting (foobar2000.exe /command:exit)? As long as you have 'Playback/Resume playback after restart' selected it will start from where it was last stopped.
RogerG
I don't want to restart foobar everytime I resume from standby. That wold be very annoying
Melomane
autohotkey can help you...
use %cwb_playback_state% to know state of fobar
