Hi,

I'v experienced foobar doesn't react sometimes. I thought it is when I massively sroll, change playlists... Thought it might be because of single_columns_playlist or foo_menuaddons eating ressources when in action for whatever reason. But I was wrong, it also happens when I do nothing.
Of course I could try to hunt it down by removing plugins one by one. But maybe it is the core itself?

With process explorer I saw, foobar does peak constantly all 3:10 minutes for about 5 seconds, making the whole OS non reactive (it is a p3/800/392M).

Maybe someone has an idea... E.g. I had this idea: does foobar refresh auto playlists in 3 minute intervals?

Thx.

It is fb2k 0.9.4.1 on W2KSP4.

It does only happen when foobar is playing. The only dsp I use is the pphs resampler.

I guess it's a foosic's audio fingerprinting function.
Squeller
Sounds like a good idea, I'll look at it when I'm at home.
Squeller
You were correct. I turned foosics fingerprinting off and everything is fine now.
Thank you.
kode54
This should not be happening as the thread priority for fingerprinting is supposed to be idle. Are you setting the process priority class high?
Squeller
The foobar process runs with normal priority, the prios in the advanced preferences page are set as default.

EDIT: The result with a playback thread prio 4 is, fingerprinting does interrupt the playback.
