Hello,
I noticed foobar playing .wmv. This seems to be really strange. Are there people who could noticed this too?

There are also other wma which can't be played (no they have no drm).
I don't see whats the difference between the files.

Maybe you can find out.

I've never tried this, though I imagine it's just playing the audio stream within the .wmv (probably a wma stream).

Where/how did you obtain these unplayable files? Can they be played in Windows Media Player? If so, have you looked at the file properties in WMP to compare those .wma files that you can play in foobar with those you can't? My best guess is that it's either a WMA Standard vs. Professional compatability issue (though I believe foobar can play both) or that it is indeed DRM. If you want a better answer you'll have to provide more detailed information regarding the unplayable files.

Actually Foobar itself put the files while making a library scan in medialibrary. This was very confusing for me huh.gif
Now I found out thats these mysterious files also wmv are. So I think not every audio from Video can be played.
But I have also some .asf in my Medialibrary blink.gif which are played huh.gif
