Amazon's cover of an Andreas Scholl CD:

Looks rather long and thin doesn't he? Compare:

If the CD case is card, or in a card slip-case, it will be rectangular not square, and what Amazon has clearly done is to distort the image to make it square, thinking it looks much the same. It doesn't. I've seen this before somewhere with the cover to George & Ira Gershwin: Standards & Gems. That wasn't so noticeable, because the image (of buildings taken up high) hadn't got a normal aspect anyway, but it's certainly made a difference to Scholl here.

Perhaps they need to do this with Luciano Pavorotti. smile.gif
