Full Version: EAC pause between extraction and compression

On my old computer with Widows 98, EAC would rip and immediately go to lame compression when the track finished ripping. Now, on a newer computer with the same optical drive (Benq dw 1640), but with XP - there is a ~5 second pause between extraction and the lame window appearing.

It's not a big problem, it's just really annoying. Does this happen to anyone else? is there a fix?

It happens both on my desktop (Win2k/Plextor 716A) and on my laptop (Win XP/some Lite-on internal drive). No idea what causes this, but if you have a CD with many short tracks, it really slows down ripping unnecessarily.
