Hey, I'm new to this forum and stumbled across it on a google search for this very topic. Was wondering if someone could help me find this.

I'm an EE student conducting research with Wave-field Synthesis (http://www-nt.e-technik.uni-erlangen.de/lms/research/projects/WFS/index.php?lang=eng) and am looking for some software applets that have already been designed for such projects. The few I have found (WONDER, JACK, ALSA) seem to support Linux and/or Mac OS and was wondering if someone knew of some windows-based or MATLAB-based software packages for this type of application. At this time, I plan to implement the hardware using a number of ADC/DAC (depending on the number of channels I use) in junction with some FPGAs (possibly uploaded with MATLAB code). At this time I just want SOME kind of software to start playing around with it and get some simulations.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas for this.

Thanks,
Juan

Hi,
Diemer de Vries, a former teacher of mine, happens to be specialized in the subject. He's working at the TU Delft (Netherlands).
Have a look at their website. You might find some useful info there and you can always send them an email to ask for help.

Is Wave Field Synthesis research that is being done in a lot of large scale cinemas? SabastianG brought it up before on the forums here. It seems interesting.
