Full Version: Idea for the progress/seeking bar in FB2K

Instead of a big progress bar that takes up a lot of space, how about just a simple edit box where the time can be entered? To save typing, the : seperators could be fixed in the edit box. Upon pressing enter, foobar would seek directly to that section of the track. Some advantages include:
    Minimal space occupied
Easy access for users who prefer to use keyboard than mouse
Allow exact seeking in very long tracks
Percentages could also be added with the % sign, to save longer typing if accuracy is not needed

Of course, a standard progress bar could be used as well as this - one for quick/mouse seeking and one for exact/keyboard seeking. What do other people think of this idea? I hope i've explained it well enough.

i'd rather add "jump to" command with dialogbox... seems less complicated to implement.

Thanks for the response.

Just one other thing while I think of it, how about changing the preferences font to Tahoma? MS Sans Serif looks so windows '98 esque. laugh.gif

You can select playlist font in preferences.

I mean't the font for the preferences themselves, rather than the playlist font. wink.gif

On my computer, some parts of the preferences seem to be Tahoma, and others MS Sans Serif.

They should be consistent and use system font.
I guess it a bug.
