Hi,

I currently have the Sony STR-DA1200ES amplifier. I'm considering purchasing the AE Aego T speakers...would this be a suitable match for the amplifier?

Also would the AE Evo 3 floor standing speakers fit in with such a setup? (If I wanted to achieve 7.1) I understand that it is usually best to pair speakers of the same brand and model, but as the Aego and Evo are both made by AE, I'm unsure whether the Evo 3's would be an exception to the rule. I would be looking at using an Evo 3 center speaker, Evo 3 Floor standing for front left and right, and use the Aego T's as side L/R and rear L/R (I know this would leave one of the Aego speakers useless)...

These would match up quite well with the Sony. The important part about mixing and matching is that both lines have the same timbre. Even though they're made by the same company, they may have a different sonic flavour.
