Hi everyone, I've just been using Foobar2000 v0.31c to replaygain my oggs and I noticed something strange. Once I have replaygained my oggs they play less loud than before. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole point of replaygain is to increase the volume of all the tracks to the max volume, instead of using normalising in the encoding. This error also occurs in WA2 with in_vorbis v1.2.9, the songs play quieter when replaygain is selected in either track or album mode (possible bug in shared code?). Unchecking the use 6db hard limiter has no effect on the replaygain. Here is the info from my ogg anyway, if it helps:
replaygain_track_gain = -6.0600 dB
replaygain_track_peak = 1.0145
replaygain_album_gain = -5.6500 dB
replaygain_album_peak = 1.0166
Also, using vorbisgain.exe from RareWares produces the same replaygain values.
