Full Version: CDRTools 2.0 final is out!

Jörg Schilling has not updated his CDRecord website yet, but a little poking around on the new FTP shows that a new stable version of his famous CDRTools is finally available. Over the past month, this software went from version 1.11a40 to version 2.0pre*. Late this afternoon the "pre" suffix was removed, and the FTP structure revamped. CDRTools 2.0 is now abailable as a GZIP tarball, although there is not (yet) any Win32 compile available as I am typing these words.

UPDATE: A few minutes ago, "EastMushu" sent me a link to a German site with a Win32 compile of CDRTools 2.0; there is still not an "official" compile on the FTP. Hopefully, Demosten will also update the Win32 binaries in his CDRTools frontend over the next day or so.

CDRTools?

Sorry... I thought the links would have explained it. Briefly, CDRTools is a command-line suite of CD-recording software applications. It can be used to build ISO images, record them to disc, read ISO images from disc, and much more. Demosten has written a Windows frontend for this software.

Been watching burnatonce for quite a while. In case you didn't know, it also uses Jörg Schilling's CDRTools for many tasks (although as of 0.95 beta, the writing tasks have all been assumed by CDRDAO). At any rate, CDRTools 2.0 should be incorporated in the next burnatonce release.
