I am an old player of chords and notes on various r&r axes. And am I ever

After acquiring the wondrous Live 1.5 in October, I used Windows sounds and couple of percussive dittys to piece together a 38 second
little thing tosend to the Screen Savers or anywhere liking PCs as a fun How'do to introduce my "self". E-mailed it to myself from WMA, and it downloaded and played out like a charm on AOL media player, so I thought I was in business. So I went ahead and sent it to a few friends
but did not hear back even for days. Little over a week later one of them came by and said I would not download. I have since upgraded from my laptop to a desktop and it will not play the file. Live makes .als; I had an
.asx & added a .wav to it , the .asx (I'd removed) re-attached itself, My new rig won't have it no way no how.
I will now try to e-mail the virgin .asx version and see if thats it.
Any way I feel these posts will help and feel real good after weeks of
turmoil.

I'm really sorry, I'm having real trouble comprehending your post. I can only compare it to perhaps native conversation style.

But from what I can see you're having problems with DRM - Digital Rights Management. This is where content created on your PC is restricted for playback on your PC only. I could be wrong however.

Also, .asx is really only for playlists in WMA, ASF's iirc cannot be created with the latest version of Windows Media Encoder - WMA's are.

May I suggest using Mp3? Its a whole lot more universal and doesnt have the encumberments of Microsofts backward self serving architecture.
