And where do I download a direct soundoutput that works with newest foobar?

DirectSound output is bundled in foobar2000 installer, it is the default output method.

What soundcard and driver do you use?

I use a M-audio Audiophile 24/96,the latest drivers for the card.Yes,saw it now the direct sound is in the Foobar and run at 24 bit,why not KS?

Just configure the KS at 32 bits or use the ASIO output (plugin can be found in the additional compoments of foobar2000.org)

Asio give me klics all the time...KS doesnīt work at 32bit...Shouldnīt Direct sound bypass the windows mixer? It doesnīt!

No, it shouldn't. Also please note that kmixer.sys will not make any percievable changes to the audio and unless you are having problems with the regular DirectSound output, then there's no reason to use Direct KS/ASIO outputs.

No there isnīt! Is there a way to bypass the windows mixer?

Tried the old 0,83 foobar and the KS does bypass the windows mixer in that verision!

So! You asked if DirectSound output would bypass kmixer.sys and i replied "No". Of course DirectKS bypasses kmixer.sys as that is it's entire design purposse i.e. to get a low latency I/O interface to rival Steinberg's ASIO I/O interface.

1. Kernel Streaming / ASIO bypass the windows mixer.
2. The only reason to use this functionality is if you are having specific issues, otherwise the sound is percievably the same, and all you are experiencing is placebo.

What stereo system you've got is totally irrelevant!

I don't think you understand what kernel streaming is. It has nothing to do with your stereo system.
