My normal CD importing workflow consisted of ripping with and converting with EAC and LAME and then throwing it into WMP11 and having it automatically find the album info by "right clicking > find album info".

Now I'm on a mac and using the LAME itunes script for ripping but I need something to get all the extra information in there I like (composer, publisher/label). I know a lot of programs out there will query freedb or whatever, but I don't think freedb offers composer and label data.

Anyways, if you guys know of anything out there for mac that will help fill in that extra meta data I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!

I just tried Musorg from http://blog.peippo.eu/pages/projects. It supports Freedb lookups and it' open source.

Despite it having version number 0.1, I find that it works just fine. I've tagged a couple of albums and it works very quick. Only thing missing is that it afaik doesn't save your preferences with regards to renaming the files and dirs, and it could use a status indicator when looking up albums on Freedb, since I cancelled it a couple of times when I thought that it couldn't find anything but was infact still looking.

Hmm ... might send a link to this post the author :-)

I use MediaRage for tagging. It's not free but worth every penny for me.

Why not have a look at Max for ripping though? It uses the MusicBrainz database for metadata retrieval, you might like it. I advise to use the 'unstable' version at this time, the 'release version' is getting rather old and will soon be replaced by the 'unstable'.
