I have a track that originally when played in foobar was missing the last second of music. I re-ripped it and replaced the original file. foobar still plays all but the last second. I know the last second of music is there as the file plays fine in VU Player and Winamp.

I've rescanned my music library, rewritten file tags, reloaded file information, but no change. Is there some other data foobar has stored about this file that needs to be updated/nuked?

Thanks.

Edit: It's an MP3 V2 file.

Finally, a clue...

I now have another MP3 file that stops mid-play. This file, and the earlier one, are actually a joining of two MP3 files using a program called "Mp3 Joiner". Given that I don't even recall where I got this app and can't find it again, I could accept that it is sketchy.

Is there a "free" way to successfully join two MP3 files together into one?

Thanks.

But that's not a lossless process is it?
