Full Version: Question-mark character in track titles won't go away

I was an avid user of 0.8.3 because I used a few plugins that weren't updated. A few nights ago, it crashed inexplicably and I am unable to recover it (reinstall, remove components, etc.) Luckily I had exported my columnsUI config.

I updated to the newest foobar, grabbed a few updated components, and started configuring. I imported my previous columnsUI configuration, which was basically the downloaded version of the Azrael config with a few options changed.

Everything is about back to normal, except that I now have the ? character next to all track titles. I've provided a picture. I went through the columns config and tried showing/hiding columns, changing some options, and I can't get them to go away.

Some help?

EDIT: I should also add that for some reason, the artist is displaying in the title field/column as well (see picture). Maybe it's a tagging problem? I wouldn't think so, since I religiously tag my files with all the relevant information and then some.

Check your title column for any extra ? characters. I've had issues like this before, and it was always a character that accidentally snuck into my code. Also check the tags (altho, you said you are a tag freak [like myself happy.gif] so thats probably not it).

As for the name, the same thing applies. Look for any extra %artist% entries in your code. Trial and error work best in these situations.

Best of luck cool.gif
