I can find the ISO 11172-3 and ISO 13818-3, but I can't find the MPEG2.5 spec for MP3 on web.

Does anybody can provide the spec?

Thanks for your help!!

AFAIK,it is a propietary extension from Fraunhofer, and the implementations that there are out there are done via try-and-miss.

I know there have
MPEG I layer 3
MPEG II layer 3
MPEG 2.5 layer 3

Does there have
MPEG I layer 2
MPEG II layer 2
MPEG 2.5 layer 2 standard ?

There is no MPeg 2.5 layer 2

Also, confirming my first claim:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3
(read under"Bit rate").

This one seems to be the only semi-official source for MPEG-2.5:
