I am a great fan of Tom Petty and, reading what he says in the first article, I can see that he's a man with brains.
Amazing fact: what he says about US radio and tv might be entirely repeated for Italian media...
Anyway, I never listen to the radio, there's no black music radio station in Italy and if they don't play the blues, they don't deserve my time...
