Hello,

I am facing a FLAC playback error. The flac file plays fine in f00bar 2000 but in winamp it gives me the following error:

---------------------------
FLAC Plug-in Error
---------------------------
Error while processing frame (FLAC__FILE_DECODER_SEEKABLE_STREAM_DECODER_ERROR).
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I was using Winamp 5.32 built in FLAC decoder which was 1.1.2c, but then I got one from here:

http://www.facquet.com/en/projects-4/winam.../flac-input-67/

But still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

first of all, it's foobar2000 smile.gif

as for the FLAC file, it could also happen in foobar2000. i've had something similar happen to me and when foobar2000 encountered an error, it just skipped it and continued playback. one possibility is that your FLAC file is corrupted and Winamp doesn't want to play corrupted FLACs.

also, did you make the FLAC with 1.1.3 or 1.1.2?

How can I make winamp skip aswell? Because it played fine in foobar and if skipping is what it did, maybe I'd wanna try that.
I don't know, I didn't rip it myself.

Thanks for replying.

first, open the console in foobar2000 and play the entire song. if foobar2000 doesn't show any errors, then something else must be up.

edit: as for making it skip on error(s), i'm not sure if it's possible. i currently don't use Winamp so i can't be of much help there. but you could look around Winamp's configuration to see if it offers an option like that.

Nope, nothing like that in winamp.
Tried searching google as well. Nothing useful came up.

since you can't find anything, just re-create the FLAC files. that is, if you have the CDs. if you don't, you might be out of luck.
