how do i set the hotkey for "copy name(s)" to be able to be used when the foobar window isnt highlighted. i tried enabling "global hotkey" for the "copy names" shortcut, but that doesn't seem to work.

You can only copy a selected track, or multiple selected tracks.

Nothing is selected when foobar is minimized.

You have to use the right version of context menu commands for global hotkeys: either use [context / now playing] or [context / playlist].
