Hey. Do any of you guys know if there's a free tagging program (or maybe even shareware) that will read Lyrics3 tags and write ID3v2? I've been using Speek's completely awesome Multi frontend for all my audio encoding and transcoding. (Don't worry, all transcoding is strictly lossless->lossy!) I love everything about it, but the one flaw I find is that it is unable to copy tags over to ID3v2 due to its reliance on the ID3v2-averse Tag.exe application. Unfortunately, none of my portable players recognize the Lyrics3 tags it writes. If you know of any tagger that recognizes them and also writes ID3v2, or some other solution to my problem, please let me know!

Thanks!

YES! Search for "mp3 observer home" and you will find a program that can read lyrics3 tags. I used it to create a text database file that I imported into Excel without problems.

FLY IN OINTMENT: Support for this program stopped around 2004.
