Hey all,

I've got a Creative X-fi XtremeMusic and I was just wondering if it's possible to hook them up to my home stereo speakers, I'm not quite sure if it's possible or how I would go about doing it - does it need to go through an amp?

The thing is the speakers need a banana connection so I'm wondering if the best way to hook them up is to go out and buy an RCA to banana connection (possibly not the best way, do they even exist??? But that's why I need your help).

I've really no clue! So thanks.

You can say that again! smile.gif
You need an amp. What amp you shoud get depends on quality and power requirements. You would probably just use RCA cables between your sound card and amp if that is what your sound card uses, but sometimes a digital connection is possible (not better though except in certain cases).

Alright that clears up everything! Thanks, I've never really connected anything to the computer before besides those little computer speakers...

So it goes; Computer > Amp > Speakers (preferably using a digital connection)

That's easy then, thanks CSMR!

Just think of your computer as like any other line level source, like a CD player or tuner.

Get an AMP with SPDIF connectors, a good RCA cable for digital audio connections with a mono minijack connector or an adapter, to plug it into the flexijack port.
