Hi, I've got a Sonos system connected to Meridian Speakers, and reading my music from a ReadyNAS NV+. I've just done my first FLAC rips using Media Monkey and the sound is very poor - much worse than the CD. Now, I'm trying to find out the reason why.
Any ideas how I can check that my FLAC rip is good?
thanks

Use EAC to rip the CD. The CD might be damaged otherwise it should sound the same.

Is it possible for you to compare the flac to the cd thru headphones directly connected to the computer?

It is quite possible that the signal chain is the problem not the source material.
