Hi,

I'm hoping that there are some other Samsung Z5 owners in the forum who might be able to confirm whether a problem I'm experiencing with my unit is a hardware fault in my unit or a firmware issue.

Model: YP-Z5AS/ELS 4 GB
Firmware: 2.45 US
Audio: Ogg Vorbis Q7

Problem: When playing back music a buzz is present in the music when the screen switches completely off, when the screen is on or in dimmed mode the buzz vanishes.

I don't recall having the problem with firmware 2.37, but then again I did upgrade soon after I got the player so I may not have observed it. Samsung have said that is is probably a hardware fault.


Has anyone else come across this issue?

p.s. I do have to say that the Z5 is the best sounding MP3 player out of all the players that I've listened to from Apple, Samsung, iRiver and Creative. Apart from this problem I'm a deliriously happy with the Z5!
