Seasons greetings to all at Hydrogen Audio!!!

With my anti-virus software soon to expire I recently (foolishly it seems!) installed Norton Internet Security 2003 and now I get a complete freeze when trying to replaygain mpc files. This occures when I use mpcbatchenc as frontend and when I run replaygain from command prompt. I've tried various options in NIS but to no avail!

Anyone had similar experiences with this software or know a way to fix the problem?
