A few readers of this forum may be interested in our newly released GPL mp3-splicing application, East-West Audio (ewa):

The purpose of the application is to support podcasters who may wish to periodically rotate intros and outros on their podcasts without remastering them. It will hence primarily be of interest to broadcasters with significant archives.

EWA is written in Python and should run on UNIX systems out of the box.
