Full Version: Keeping the track names and encoding many times

Is there any tool or set of tools to keep the track information (grabbed from FreeDB or CDDB) in a file and using that information when encoding?

When I insert a CD I get the track names and the album information with the digital audio extractor and when encoding it passes the information to the encoder and I get tagged mp3's or ogg files.

If I want to encode the same album in different qualities or formats I have to rip it over and over again, so the audio extractor sends the album info the the encoder each time.

I know I can extract to FLAC and tag the FLACS, but how do I pass from FLAC to mp3 or ogg passing the tags along?

Also, most tagging software that I am aware of allows you get the album info from freedb and etc.
