Sorry if this is not the most appropriate forum. I figured this would be the correct place for audio hardware problems.
I have a Quad II amp attached to TDL Studio 10 speakers. The amp is attached to my computer through an audigy sb 2 plat sound card. I had some problems with a ground loop so there is a ground loop isolator on the audio cables between the pc and amp.
I have been getting static crackles off one of the channels for sometime now. I've swapped around the wiring to change which speaker the channel is attached to and the crackling has followed, so it's definitely on just one channel.
What could be causing this? I know very little about my Quad II as I inherited it and apart from wiring it up correctly I am a bit clueless.
Help would be really appreciated as I love my Quad and I just want it to work ok!
