As you might know KDE (Konqueror) has a built in "copy as Ogg" Option if you insert a Audio CD. Does anybody here know what exactly happens if I use this feauture? I know, it uses the settings I set in the Control Center, but if I do a ps -A or top during the enocding process no Oggenc/paranoia is shown. What libs are used for ripping and encoding? It's a pretty comfortable method to rip Oggs, but if it's not using cdparanoia as a ripper it might give bad results in some cases.

It is using cdparanoia and ogg *libraries* rather than executables. This is the reason that you need to have cdparanoia and ogg installed when you compile KDE, and not just when you run it.

If I get round to it, I'm going to submit an extension of the KDE ogg configuration screen to include the features of rc3.
